Directions to our wedding and reception

  I am a graduate of the School of Business at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and my area of interest is marketing. I worked initially for the marketing firm of Rapp Collins in Dallas, Texas. I now work for Valassis in Livonia, Michigan.

  In Ann Arbor I participated in the annual charity event, Dance Marathon. I was a co-founder of the a women's advocacy group on campus called POWER. The name POWER is an acronym for Proactive Organization for Wo

men in Everyday Relationships. I also participated in the Detroit Project, a service program of University of Michigan students who travel to the inner city of Detroit and rehabilitate housing there for the local community.

  I particpated in many activities in high school and I enjoy soccer, jogging, sailing and reading.

In prior summers I worked in Seattle on the aquatic staff of the Seattle Tennis Club. I also worked in the marketing division of the Seattle Mariners baseball team. While in Seattle I learned how to sail and I love it! I sailed a Laser sailboat out on Lake Washington with my cousin Catherine and her cousins Elizabeth and Alex who are avid sailors.

  I had the opportunity to tour the University of Washington in Seattle where my cousin Catherine is a student. I also visited with my aunt Jan and my uncle Steve who live in Seattle. My uncle even keeps old newspaper clippings about me. I got to see some interesting sights in the Pacific Northwest like the Seattle Space Needle and Friday Harbor on San Juan Island just north of Seattle and Puget Sound.

  I attended Troy High School in Troy, Michigan, where I lettered all four years in swimming. I am currently in training for a triathlon marathon and in the summer of 2000 I won the womens division in the Seattle open water "Fat Salmon" swimming race in Lake Washington.
