Contribution #1: The following anonymous poem nearly died with the summer. And since I never like to print anything late, consider this early--for next summer:

The Creation-- anonymous
Ed. hint: (author's initials are Dave Kee)

During the summer I am seldom blue
Because I have no homework to do.
During the summer I am seldom blue
Because I have no reports to do.
We rise at six to greet the day
Then off to Brennan, we go to stay.
Soon a cry from our coach says, don't delay
You will never become a champ that way.
--I must confess a thing or two
During the summer, at times, I am blue
Now I shall justify that for you
That icy Brennan water just freezes me through.

Contribution #2: Anon Y Mous again. Clever mouse. Knows how to get to print. Writes about me.

Slave Driver Sully
by Anon Y Mous (alias: Joanne Scarborough)

When we arrive at 5:15 in the hall of Patton, he is already there. Usually he swims a blazing 25 yd. sprint before anybody arrives, but often I have witnessed "Sprintin' Sully" accomplishing his feat. Since we scoff at his attempts and tease him about his "hard" workouts, Sully has decided that we like to go long distances. In a twinkling of an evil eye, he transforms himself into Slavedriver Sully. A typical workout from this almost Simon LeGree starts out with loosening up. This includes subjecting our sinuses to torture as we struggle to do one length sprints with our heads up. Then he says, snickering at our discomfort, "LET'S do some four hundreds." (Of course what he really means is "YOU" do some four hundreds). After about the hundredth one (or is it really only the third) Sacrifice Sully shouts our: "That's despicable! You know what Patty Caretto repeats four meters in!!!! You know what that tiny Mary Olcese goes? And she's a backstroker!!!!! BUT...when we go to a meet, the malevolent tyrant turns quickly into Sympathetic Sully. He suffers every bad time with us, groans at every race lost by a tenth, and shares any disappointments through- out the meet. He jokes, comments on our mistakes and helps us correct them, and comforts us with: "The race is over now. Forget it! Concentrate on the one coming up. I know you can do it!" Then he rejoices at our pleasure of doing a "best time", encourages us to "keep up the good work", and reminds us later that, while we did a good job, the best was still ahead! Who can explain this miraculous being of so many personalities and moods? I guess the most appropriate name for him is Secret Sully--
