A Visit to Italy
February 4th at 6:30 p.m. at the Seattle Tennis Club I presented a set of videos showing photographs we took in Itlay in May of 2009 with Italian music for soundtracks. You can watch a short video clip of the presentation by clicking on Seattle Tennis Club Video Presentation on Italy.
Writing in his book Italian Journey of his time spent in Rome in 1788 Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote, "The paintings are like friends with whom one has long been acquainted through correspondence and now sees face to face 
for the first time."
Henry Morton wrote in his A Traveler in Rome in 1957, "It is the singular charm of Rome that, turning a corner, one comes suddenly face to face with something beautiful and unexpected that was placed there three centuries ago, apparently in the most casual fashion. Rome is a city of magic around the corner."

The 2009 Fall Palm Desert Tennis Group
Here are a couple of short video clips from our recent visit to Palm Desert with the Palm Desert Tennis Group from Seattle. Despite the fact that it was filmed at night with a pocket digital camera they didn't turn out too badly.

The 2009 Men's Retreat in Petoskey, Michigan
By popular demand here are a few photos from Petoskey this October with my brother-in-law, Dick O'Neil, who engineered the trip. At left, the Perry Hotel dining room, in the center the downtown Petoskey Public Libary, at right after dinner at the Pier in Harbor Springs.
